Preface:
4x4 Portugal can be driven very well from January to November, in the south you can drive all year round. We always try to include the more humane 4x4 routes in the book. The 4x4 Portugal book is a mix of off-road and on-road.

6 day stages (4x4 Potugal):

The daily stages are a mix of tar and off-road, we tried to adapt the stage length to the off-road portion or the sights. At the end of each stage of the day we have suggestions for overnight accommodation, which can be guesthouses/hotels or campsites.
Departing a daily route:
Each daily stage has a route that you follow. At some point you come to the start of an off-road route. The directions then state on which page the directions for the off-road route are located. Once you have completed the off-road route, you jump back to the route description for the day's stage and follow it.

19 individual off-road routes in 4x4 Portugal:

In the book we have broken down the individual off-road routes with sketch maps. This has the advantage that you can drive any off-road route regardless of daily stages. This also makes it possible to use the off-road routes for your own tour planning.
Driving along individual off-road routes:
For each off-road route there is an entry point (green) and an exit point (red).

4x4 Europe Marathon:
Become a Marathon Master - Portugal. There is a marathon place on every off-road route; depending on the length of the route and the circumstances, there are different marathon points. Collect these points without any time pressure and become a marathon master. More information (click here)
